How to make : Cut cardboard no. 32 into 2 pieces of blade part then attach them together with small pieces of no. 32 cardboard slipped in between them (as shown in the picture). This step is to make the blade thicker and stronger. Wrap both side of the blade with aluminum sheet and then cut the edge of blade just like the cardboard shape. The handle guard and handle were done just like Nozomi’s Sword; cut the cardboard no. 32 into the guard shape and then slip into the sword from the end. Cover the surface with gold color paper like the original. The handle parts were made by cutting aluminum sheet into small separated parts first, and then join those pieces together into dragon’s head. Attach the dragon scale onto the handle piece by piece. Some of the pieces will need help of silver color tape. The dragon’s whisker was made by coil wire. In my case, I used a cloth hanger. Cut it into 2 pieces and taped them with silver tape. Bend them into the original’s shape and finish the whole handle with lacquer to make it looks sparkly.
Antique Welding Glasses make a good choice for Hellsing cosplay. Alucard's glasses appear to be based off of typical welding glasses from the 1950's or slightly earlier. Depending on what kind you get, you will need to tint the lenses, paint them black, and maybe add the top ridge across the brow. The two pictures are of an official pair of Alucard glasses that were sold in a very limited supply in Japan, which are good for reference, though not totally accurate to the Hellsing anime series. The Japanese official release originally sold for $20 but go for much higher price now as they were limited edition. Most of the official Alucard glasses were sold inside Japan so few were available internationally. A much cheaper alternative is to make them yourself. It is possible to make a suitable pair of of Alucard glasses make them out of a cheap pair of hippie style glasses that were popular during the 1960's and very widely available.
A very easy but very cool prop to make is Alucard's gloves. Take the image posted below and size it to what you think looks right for the particular white gloves that you have. Cotton gloves work the best and can be found very cheaply. You will need to flip the image by mirroring it and then print it out on several sheets of Iron On printer paper, cut out the image, place on the white cotton glove, iron, and enjoy.
The ammo box used for this prop is based off of the one seen used for the Menu to Hellsing DVD #2, Search and Destroy. This type of ammo box is very commonly found in army surplus stores as well as online outlets. They range in price from $5-$15 and also range in size as they were made for many different caibre bullets. The best choice for this cosplay prop would be to use one smaller sized ammo boxes. This is based on the fact that in Episode 12 of the Hellsing anime series set #2, Seras wears the ammo box on her back with straps, and it seems quite small. However, in other episodes it looks much larger, so I suppose it comes to personal preferance. The conversion for this prop is quite simple. Depending on what calibre ammo box you get, there will probably be sprayed on writing on either of the sides and perhaps the top. Use spray paint to cover the writing. The ammo box writing is usually in yellow so it may take more than one coat of spray paint to properly paint over the writing. Print out the Large label with the ammunition information on it with normal or glossy paper, yours choice, and place in the bottom center of one side of the box. Then do the same with the "Hellsing" label and place it directly above the first label on the top piece of the box, same side as the first label. These labels may also be mirrored on the opposite side if you wish. Next, use the red "Bio-Hazard" symbol as a spray template stencil by cutting out the red portions. Then place the stencil between the two labels and spray with Red spray paint. Spray more than is needed so the design drips slightly. This will achieve the dripping design seen in the anime box. Now you may end there if you wish, that is the basic box. If you intend on making it the strap on backpack version, there are a few more steps which should be done before the labels are placed to avoid messing them up. The straps are typical Army backpack straps, green and thick, and a buckle on each side. Find a set of these straps with clips on the ends. The clips go onto triangle loops that are bolted to the pack in the fashion pictured below. For comfort you may want to add a strip of foam along the bottom back of the box that will be against your back.
